Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
Motive LLC ("Motive," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website motive-os.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Contact Form Submissions
When you submit the contact form on the Site, you may provide:
- Your name
- Your email address
- A description of your business
- A description of your inquiry
Our contact form is processed by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a third-party form-to-email service. When you submit the form, the information you entered is sent to FormSubmit's servers, which forward it to our email inbox at hello@motive-os.com. We do not operate our own server that receives or stores the form data; the data passes through FormSubmit's infrastructure in transit to us. FormSubmit's handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy, available at formsubmit.co/privacy.
When we receive your message, we retain it in our email inbox and use it solely to respond to your inquiry and, if we enter into a business relationship, to manage that relationship.
1.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit the Site, our hosting infrastructure automatically records:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and timestamps
- Referring URL (the page you came from)
This data is collected by Vercel, Inc., our hosting provider, as part of standard server operation. It is used for infrastructure operations and security. We do not have access to this data in an individually identifiable form for routine business purposes.
1.3 Fonts
We self-host the fonts used on the Site. We do not load fonts from a third-party content delivery network, so visiting the Site does not send your IP address or browser information to an outside font provider.
1.4 Cookies
We do not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set technically necessary cookies related to infrastructure operations. We do not use:
- Analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, Plausible, or similar)
- Marketing or advertising cookies
- Session or user-tracking cookies
2. How We Use Your Information
We use contact form submissions to:
- Respond to your inquiry
- Evaluate whether a business engagement is a fit
- Communicate about a potential or active business relationship
We do not use your information for:
- Email marketing without your explicit consent
- Sale or rental to third parties
- Behavioral profiling or targeted advertising
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
| Party | Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) | Processing and delivering contact-form submissions | Service provider / processor |
| Vercel, Inc. | Website hosting and infrastructure | Contractual necessity — hosting provider |
| Law enforcement or courts | Legal compliance | Legal obligation |
We do not currently use third-party analytics providers, advertising networks, or CRM platforms that receive visitor data.
4. Data Retention
| Data type | Retention |
|---|---|
| Contact form messages (received in inbox) | Retained as long as relevant to a business relationship or inquiry; deleted on request |
| Vercel server logs | Per Vercel's infrastructure policy (typically 30–90 days in log aggregation) |
5. Your Rights
5.1 Rights for Residents of the European Economic Area (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, you have the following rights with respect to any personal data we hold about you:
- Access: Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data.
- Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data.
- Portability: Receive your data in a portable format.

- Contact form inquiries: Legitimate interest (responding to a business inquiry)
- Server logs: Legitimate interest (operating and securing the website)
Some of the providers that process data on our behalf are based in the United States — specifically FormSubmit (contact-form delivery) and Vercel (hosting). Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA or UK in connection with these services, that transfer relies on the safeguards offered by those providers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses. See their respective privacy policies for details.
5.2 Rights for California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how it is used.

6. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us at hello@motive-os.com and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information submitted to us. The Site is served over HTTPS. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to us.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be noted at the top of the policy.
